Foundation for MetroWest Offering Free Workshops to Area Nonprofits

The Foundation for MetroWest, based in Natick, announced that it will be offering professional development workshops covering a range of subjects throughout the year without charge to nonprofit staff, volunteers, board and committee members in the MetroWest area.

Upcoming workshops include:
  • Sept. 19 – What's Your Impact? Capture the Outcomes that Prove You're Making a Difference
  • Sept. 26 – Building the Model Development Program: A Nonprofit Leadership Workshop
  • Oct. 12 –High Impact HR Processes: How to Engage and Attract Employees
MetroWest is loosely bounded by Routes 128 on the east, Route 495 on the west, Route 2 on the north, and Route 109 on the south.

Miriam Fund Invites Proposals Benefitting Women and Girls in Boston

The Miriam Fund in Boston has issued a request for letters of intent for projects from nonprofits that deliver measurable and sustainable outcomes for the advancement of women and/or girls in one or more of the following areas: education, economic empowerment, personal safety, health, legal rights.

Funding will be for the fiscal year starting July 1, 2018. The fund makes one year grants (maximum amount $25,000) that may be considered for renewal for up to three years. The fund does not support capital projects or scholarships, or make grants to individuals.

Requests for general operating and/or capacity building support will be considered from organizations that serve women and/or girls exclusively and have an annual budget of $1 million or less.

Deadline to submit letters of intent: Oct. 26. Details.

Google Ad Grants Available to Massachusetts Nonprofits

Google is offering grants to nonprofits in which eligible participants can receive up to $10,000 per month in free advertising.

The program is available to 501(c)(3) organizations, excluding hospitals, healthcare organizations, schools, childcare centers, academic institutions, and universities, and must be registered with TechSoup.

For nonprofits that qualify, Google Grants will provide an advertising grant within the Google AdWords program. You create advertisement and key works searches related to your nonprofit, services, and organization as a whole, and when people use Google to search for related offerings online, your ad may appear next to the search results. When people click the ad, they will be directed to your website. Details.
