Eastern Bank Foundation Gives $3M to 83 Bay State Nonprofits
January 29, 2021 — The Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation recently announced it granted $3 million to 83 Massachusetts nonprofits to help them mitigate impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic by providing support focused on housing stability, homelessness, food security, and essential services and utilities for low- and moderate-income individuals and families.
Nancy Huntington Stager, president and CEO of Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation, noted that housing, homelessness and food insecurity have long been challenges and that “the need for corporate philanthropic support of our nonprofit partners is as great now as it was” earlier last year.
Receiving the grants, which ranged from $25,000 to $100,000, were the following:
