December 21, 2021 — The East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, a nonprofit based in East Boston that is the largest community health center in Massachusetts, recently announced it appointed Greg Wilmot as interim president and chief executive officer.

Manny Lopes had served as president and CEO of East Boston Neighborhood Health Center (EBNHC) since 2012 until he stepped down last month to become executive vice president of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.

Wilmot joined EBNHC in 2017 and most recently served as senior vice president, chief operating officer, and executive director of Neighborhood PACE, part of the national Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly network.

Earlier, he was director of strategic partnerships for Neighborhood Health Plan and director for business development for Boston Medical Center. He also worked as director of strategic planning and the Office of Performance Management within the Massachusetts Office of Health and Human Services.

Wilmot earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Boston College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Northeastern University. He was awarded the Stars’ 40 under 40 award in 2010, YMCA Achievers award in 2016, Boston Business Journal’s 40 under 40 award in 2019.

Established in 1970, EBNHC today employs nearly 1,500 people and serves more than annually. In 2020, the South End Community Health Center merged with EBNHC.
