New England Patriots Foundation Launches New Fundraising InitiativesThe New England Patriots Foundation, which raises and distributes funds to benefit Massachusetts nonprofits that foster cultural diversity, education, family, and health, recently announced that it will, for the first time, hold a raffle that will enable a winner to obtain a Patriots Super Bowl LI championship ring engraved with their last name.
The raffle, which kicked off with the opening of the Patriots 2017 season earlier this month, will run through Sunday, Dec. 10.
Also, the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) this month unveiled a new, redesigned New England Patriots license plate that aims to raise funds for the foundation.
The updated license plate highlights the teams five Super Bowl championships with the specific emblem of 5X Champions. Below the emblem are the numerals of each Super Bowl that the Patriots have won and a star to celebrate each championship.
The Registry is excited to offer our customers this newly redesigned New England Patriots license plate, said Registrar of Motor Vehicles Erin Deveney. The new plate will help to raise awareness and funding for a notable cause while also allowing fans to show their support for our five-time Super Bowl champions, the New England Patriots.
The foundation will receive $28 of the $40 initial special plate fee, and the full $40 special plate fee at renewal. The foundation matches all of these donated funds to help support charities across the state.
Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership is now Metro Housing|BostonMetropolitan Boston Housing Partnership, a Boston nonprofit that is states largest regional provider of rental housing voucher assistance, last week announced it has rebranded, changing its name to Metro Housing|Boston. It also will relocate its offices from 125 Lincoln Street near South Station to 1411 Tremont Street at Roxbury Crossing.
Being committed to providing the very best service requires us to constantly evolve. Our shift to Metro Housing l Boston is part of that transition, said Chris Norris, executive director of Metro Housing|Boston. For more than 30 years, our staff has been dedicated to ensuring that every person in Greater Boston will always have a place to call home. A new name and logo will not change that.
The new, a 27,000-square-foot facility is a part of a mixed-use residential and commercial community developed by Mission Hill Neighborhood Housing Services. In addition to Metro Housing|Boston, it will include a bank branch, 40 affordable housing units, and other retail space for local vendors.
Metro Housing|Boston, founded in 1983 as Boston Housing Partnership, today serves 25,000 households annually.
